FEATURES1. Milled Teeth Strong, carefully indexed teeth of the cone which gouges and crushes the rock as the bit is rotated. Teeth are milled to form 35 degree`s for soft, 40 degree`s for medium and 45 degree`s for soft formation. 2. Gauge protection hard-facing A layer of hard-facing material is applied in the gauge of cone to ensure the borehole size is within tolerance. Also available are TC inserts gauge protection option which further enhances wear resistance. 3. Shirt-tail protection a layer of hard-facing is applied throughout the perimeter of the shirttail to protect wear of leg shirttail portion. A series of TC inserts are also option which enhances the wear protection. 4. Nozzle Nozzles play a very important role in the life of a drill bit. Bit hydraulics are controlled through these precision drilled nozzles which also go through a series of heat treatment processes for stability. 5. Body The hardness of the steel body of the bit is maintained at 57 HRC after heat treatment and case hardening of leg and cone. This hardens the bit ensuring low chances of wear out and increased life. 6. Nozzle Boss Extended nozzle boss provides wear resistance and stability in the flow of fluid. The thickness of nozzle boss is kept optimized to prevent unexpected washouts and failure of nozzle. 7. Welding Welding is done with good quality of electrodes to ensure stability in structure. To further enhance the stability, the bit goes through a series of heat treatment processes to relieve stresses after welding. 8. Cone Offset Cones are given offset during assembly of the bit so that gouging and crushing of the bits can take place. Cone offset are 5 degree`s for soft, 3 degree`s for medium and 1 degree` for hard formation bits. 9. Tooth Hard-facing Individual tooth are hard-faced with quality hard facing material to ensure wear resistance. This also helps in self sharpening the teeth as the tooth are worn out during drilling. 10. Thread Threads are machined in CNC with ultimate precision and dimensioning. Correct measures are taken to maintain the line of bit. A thin layer of heavy duty grease is applied to prevent rust.
