Used Rails R50 – R65
Specification:
a) Rail shall be type R-50 (51.67 kg/m-GOST-7173-75) and R65 (64.72 kg/m-
GOST-8165-75) or similar American standard.
b) Dirt, dust and impurities are not more than 0.5 % of total weight.
c) The Goods will be totally free from any types of radiation, bombs, arms and ammunition, mines, shell, cartridges, sealed containers, gas cylinders, explosive shell or explosive materials in any form either used or otherwise as per below
d) Tee, girder, and/or guard rails, to be free from frog and switch rails not cut apart, and contain no manganese, cast, welds, or attachments except angle bars.
e) Free from bent and twisted rails, frog, switch and guard rails, or rails with split heads and broken flanges. Continuous welded rail may be included provided no weld is over 9 inches from end of the piece of rail.
f) Technical requirements: rails must be straight. The rail surface is cleaned from alien articles and substances (covers, linings, ties, anti-creepers, bolts, wires and other articles of the upper railway part; dirt, heavy oils, etc
g) Length of Used Rails scrap will be 1.5- 6-12 meters.
Chemical Composition of used rail:
Steel Rails Scrap/Railroad Ferrous Scrap (R-50/R-65) chemical composition shall be according to:
Carbon 0.2% To 0.90%
Manganese 0.60% To 0.90%
Silicon 0.15% To 0..35%
Sulphur 0.05% To Maximum
Phosphorous 0.045% To Maximum
