COUNTERMATE TICKETING is having an embedded firmware for ticketing in the format required by Transport Corporations. It can generate tickets on a 24 col. paper. There are options for Thermal & Dot Matrix Printers. Both have got its own advantages. Thermal is recommended in heavy traffic routes, since tickets have to be issues at high speeds. On long routes, where conductors have time to issue ticket, Dot Matrix is a better option. On long journeys, tickets have to be preserved for many hours. Some of the long route passengers need to keep the tickets for claims from their respective organizations.
At the end of the day, or at the end of each schedule transfer the data to the PC installed at bus depot. Either RS232 cable or contact less IR port can be used for data transfer. The data will get posted in the relevant fields of the application package installed in the PC. There is no need of data entry and data verification. Software in the PC will generate all relevant reports.
The same data transfer can be used for updating any other information like change of tariff etc. The tariff change or creation of a new route can be done at the PC and be downloaded to all COUNTERMATE uniformly. This will speed up the process as well as eliminate any sort of mistakes.
