(BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COMPANY)


The Prestige Group was founded in the early 1980’s by its’ present Chairman, Mr. Abdul Rahim Sharif. The first company under the group was Prestige General Services, a janitorial and cleaning company servicing the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. With Dubai’s transformation being in progress, another division was created to deal with security by providing security guard services to financial, governmental and private industries. Today, Prestige General Services manages over 1,000 employees and has become one of United Arab Emirates largest supplier of trained manpower and is recognized for it’s reliability and quality of service.

In July of 1992, Prestige General Trading was introduced to enter the trading side of the business world. This corporate identity dealt with the manufacturing and distribution of quality undergarments. Through extensive research of the undergarment industry, the development of a high quality product line of underwear was created. The basis was to use only the best cotton available in the market combined with the most advanced manufacturing technology while outperforming the competitive products in the marketplace in quality and price. Thus, the “Classic” brand was created.

The Classic brand has become one of the leading undergarment product lines in the entire Middle East as well as being distributed in most C.I.S and Baltic countries. Although there are millions sold annually, quality is still controlled by top management supported by trained and experienced professionals. Every piece is checked and inspected before shipment. Prestige is so confident in the Classic line that it is the only undergarment manufacturer that offers a money back guaranty if not satisfied. Classic has since launched new products targeting ladies and children as well as men.

With Prestige’s need to remain a front runner in the industry, it continues to look for new product ideas as well as innovative ways to improve its existing items. Every year we come up with new products that have huge demand in the market, and soon the entire world can wear our products with trust and “Prestige”.
