STORY
POMPEA FROM HISTORY TO LEGEND
1996
Pompea S.p.A. was established as the outcome of an enterprising vision of the present President Mr. Adriano Rodella who wished to repeat the extraordinary success achieved by his previous hosiery Company.
At first Pompea S.p.A. was producing only hosiery distributed on the Italian market through wholesalers.
1997-1999
Pompea with the objective to expand business in Europe, acquired other brands and a qualified hosiery Company (Ghirardi) and entered into a JV with an important Spanish hosiery manufacturer (Gassol).
1999-2000
Pompea with the genial intuition of Mr. Rodella started the production of SEAMLESS women underwear to be distributed in hypermarkets. The strategy was supported by high investments to build up a well organized logistic and a motivated and committed sales team as well as to promote the brand by means of massive advertising and in-store promotions.
2001
Launch of man SEAMLESS underwear and man socks
2002
Exclusive license of the brand “Barbie” by Mattel for children hosiery/socks, SEAMLESS underwear and beachwear.
Implemented J.D.Edwards, an IT system to better monitor Pompea’s activities.
2003
Launch of beachwear collection
Acquisition of Italian very popular underwear brand “Roberta” and launch of lingerie collection
Launch of designer brand “AC Art Collection” hosiery and underwear.
2004
Launch of Pompea’s first fitness collection “Pompea GYM”, introduction of underwear, sportswear and free time wear for “GYM No Stress” collection.
