PSS.Ganesan & Sons (PSSG) is India's leading exporter of senna products and other medicinal herbs. PSSG's interest ranges from the export of crude senna, senna tea cut to senna extracts. PSSG is also exporting other medicinal herbs. It was the pioneer one in the trade to go in for mechanisation in the early 80's. PSSG is having its most modern senna factory in the well-developed industrial cum port city Tuticorin, the senna city of South India. It is equipped with latest machineries for processing senna leaves, senna pods and senna tea cut under most hygienic conditions.

In the late 80's, latest senna tea cut machinery were introduced in a new factory with a special Fluid Bed Dryer in order to meet the senna tea cut requirement for M/S.Honso Pharmaceutical Ltd, Japan, who are the largest importer of senna in the East Asia and for other potential customers globally.

Yet another milestone in 90's, PSSG was being selected and partly financed by the world's largest senna pods importer M/S.Madaus AG, Koln, Germany to set up a unique factory a first of its kind in India, to manufacture high quality product called Non Contaminated Cultivated Senna Pods which is said to be free of aflotaxin. The entire out put from this factory is being bought by Madaus as a buy back arrangement. Now we are open to these special variety pods to other interest suppliers.

In the late 80's PSSG have come across senna growing in one of rural state of Gujarat the Kutch District, where previously senna was just growing wildly. It is now found out that this senna is being recognised as free of pesticides with high sennoside content since no organised cultivation has taken place for decades. Under this valuable opportunity and in order to meet the growing demand for Organic Senna PSSG is promoting and encouraging farmers to cultivate senna without using any pesticides and chemical manure and have taken major share of purchases and have now set up yet another modern factory in the heart of the senna growing area in an ancient village called Anjar. Another advantage, this city is located near the port town of Kandla which is one of the major port.

The network widens as senna seems to be growing wild in the desert state of India, Rajastan. And again PSSG have established their purchase center in this state also.
