The T8 range has a hardened steel construction with a 10 pin patented Octagon mechanism. Only patented locks and keys can help prevent unauthorized duplicate keys being cut or blanks being made, which has become prevalent in recent years. Each set or ‘suite’ of keyed-alike Octagon locks and keys is built to a unique key combination, which is allocated to the purchaser or user and reserved for their exclusive use. This user alone may purchase further quantities of locks or keys with this combination, and only by way of a written order. Customers no longer need worry that other people have been sold a key that can operate their locks. The patents enable us to regulate the issue of keys very strictly. The possibility of unauthorised duplicate keys being cut can be greatly reduced through key registration. This procedure involves us recording a designated person’s signature, which is then used to ensure that registered keys are only ever issued to the relevant customer.
