Welcome to the world of Minnies Food Enterprise (MFE)

The name Minnies and our journey has been an interesting one that we would like to share with you.

Prior to MFE’s inception in 1993, the pioneer to Sauce production was the vision of Amina Kolia, who is affectionately known as “Minnie” to her family and friends. Thus the name “Minnie” derives from her entrepreneurial passion and vision.

It is from the kitchen of Minnie from whence the culinary skills which were perfected over four generations came to being. Under her constant guidance and demand for perfection, MFE has evolved into a company of excellence.

A loving personal touch and attention to detail is the secret ingredient in all the
products. The staff at MFE are passionate about producing only the best. MFE
is proud to consistently offer you this quality, pride and great flavour.

Family values still pervade and is an intrinsic part of the MFE culture. It is through these values and culture that MFE has evolved into a highly ethical and professional company with an intuitive, pragmatic approach to business and our customers.

MFE has undoubtedly become the largest independent sauce manufacturer in
Kwa-Zulu Natal currently producing a combined range of over fifty varieties of sauces, condiments, bastings, marinades and also offers a combination of over one hundred herbs, spices and seasonings. MFE also contract packs and conducts personal branding for a variety of companies.

Efficient operating methods and continuous business optimisation ensures that costs are kept to an absolute minimum thereby maintaining MFE’s current competitive structure with benefits to our customers.

MFE will be relocating to its new 2000sqm manufacturing plant in Riverhorse Valley Business Estate in the first quarter of 2008. The new premises includes a laboratory, increased production and warehousing facilities.
