Mariner Seafoods Ltd. is the marketing arm for the Mann family fishing enterprise, Osprey Marine Ltd. In the spring of 2005, Ron Mann independently purchased a modern freezer processor vessel, the Osprey No.1. At 57 meters in length, and with a gross weight of over 2000mt, the Osprey No.1 is the largest fishing vessel on the west coast of Canada. Our main products include sea frozen HGT Pacific Hake (Merluccius productus) and HG Arrowtooth Flounder (Atheresthes stomias). We produce approximately 5000 mt of HGT hake annually, and approximately 2000 mt of HG arrowtooth flounder per year. The Osprey No.1 delivers over 550mt of product into the port of Vancouver every 3.5 weeks, and can fish year round. In addition to Pacific Hake and Arrowtooth Flounder, we also own quota for over 27 different species of groundfish, which we have available from time to time as by-catch items.
