Koncherry weavers is a leading provider of floor coverings (carpets & rugs). We have a strong relationship with many of the world’s leading retailers and have established ourselves as a floor covering supplier who can deliver high quality product at a competitive price on time. Our company was founded in 1929 by Mr. P.K.Velu in Cherthala town of Alleppey district, India- the hub center for the world trade in coir and coir products.
We have our main facility at the Cochin Special Economic Zone, which has an area of 60,000sq.ft. We have also put up another facility at Coimbatore to carry out mechanised weaving of eco fabrics to be made from jute, sisal, polypropylene and cotton. This plant has an installed capacity to manufacture 14, 37,792sq.m of Jacquard fabric per annum. We have already imported 24 Jacquard looms of Belgium make. These machines have the range to manufacture fabrics of width ranging from 75 cm to 475cm. We have also imported from Germany technologically advanced fully automatic machinery for the manufacture of door mats.
We have been continuously expanding our business and have setup the largest dyeing capacity in the industry and we are also in the process of setting up a State of the art manufacturing facility for machine made Carpets and Rugs, the largest of its kind in India. We have a strong design team which continuously interacts with customers and designers to develop new and innovative products in tune with the latest color and designs. They also visit International trade fairs and enrich their creative minds with the latest fashion and design trends.
