At present, Chiba import 100.000.000 m3, the annual total sum has reached 20.7billion US dollars, and the export amount is three times the amount before ten years ago. Nowadays, the timber gap in China has reached to 200.000.000 m3 in each year. There is a big gap between supply and demand. So, China has to import a large amount of timber from foreign countries, among there, Russia, US and EU, and the Southeastern Asian countries occupied the front positions. This conference gain a big support from Chinese government, domestic and overseas authoritative industry associations.
