DDJ Corporation was founded in 1998 to specialise in digital (computer based) juke boxes, DJ and Behind the Counter advertising systems. The company's R&D (research and design) come from New Zealand (a country with a lot of natural beauty and known for emerging high-end technology and known for the Lord of the Rings movie, "All Blacks" rugby team and KZ7 America's Yatch Cup race) but it has manufacturing in each of South Africa, Mainland China and Brazil to service clients worldwide.

DDJ produces a wide range of coin-op and free-play wall-mounted and free-standing juke boxes for pubs and clubs as well as the home market. Their cabinet range from the very classic ‘Bubbler’ style one would expect a juke box to be (in both counter-top, wall-mounted and free-standing models) through budget small footprint models to the international flow of the modern “Music Note” shaped wall-mount. The company offers a full colour range (12) in a gloss metallic lacquer to fill orders from one up to 40’ containers with primary and secondary colours to suit. Corporate is also available, usually at no charge on sizable orders.

The home entertainment models have the very unique feature of being able to put any regular CD/DVD in and watch it transfer on fully automatically! The “Bubblette” 18” high unit can sit nicely on your kitchen bench and show any DVD or television channel while you’re cooking and need to catch the news highlights when you’re not listening to your music (or singing karaoke!).

The professional “Porta-DJ” supports real-time beat-mixing (of any two songs), scratching (including video), real-time collection and use of loops as well as the ability to add a custom percussion (drums) and have those drums stay in time with the music.

The BTC (Behind the Counter) systems are for taxi/bus/boat applications as well as to give café and restaurants the ability to profile the exact music they’re looking for (by genre and tempo) while also giving a comprehensive 3 [different] screen advertising player.
