With the high-performing Limes AS Antispam core-technology the world of antispam appliances is defined in a revolutionary new way. The Limes AS detects more than 600.000 viruses, worms, spyware and Trojans today and reveals spam with absolute accuracy in more than 98 percent of all cases. It has become very difficult to quantify the flood of spam nowadays. Due to latest research the number of digitally sent advertising messages is touching the magic 70 percent rate. The economic detriment caused by that is estimated at 2.5 billion Euros per year in the German Republic only. Apart from the time that needs to be wasted on tedious sorting out of e-mails, users have to pay for the unnecessary data transfer and the enormous storage requirement. Thus the appeal of e-mail traffic decreases. According to a US study, spam mails have caused a fall of 25 percent in the use of e-mail communication because of spam mails. The Plug & Play ready hardware solution is interposed between the mail server and the incoming e-mail traffic and doesn’t even let spam, viruses, worms and Trojans hit the server. With the integrated up2date service the signatures of the antispam and antivirus engines are updated hourly. Graphically processed statistics are demonstrating the effectiveness of the solution and enhance the communication by their transparency. The analysis mechanisms contain a twelve-level antispam mechanism and two independent antivirus-engines. Our central antispam-head office analyses spam and checks the techniques of spammers.
