poland is a member of european union. belarus is a member of customs union of belarus, kazakhstan and the russian federation. it means, ze a polish-belarusian border is separating two areas: a european area - consisting of 501 milions pe ople, and area of three countries in eastern europe and asia with 166 milions citizens.
